Portrait

A Portrait is a painting, drawing, photograph or engraving of a person especially one depicting the face or head and shoulders.

Lots of artists create portraits and self-portraits. You could look in the mirror and draw  yourself or look at a family member and draw a portrait of them.

Here's an old video I made showing the facial proportions.
Here are some examples of drawing the facial features

The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is the worlds most famous portrait it was painted in the year 1503

Todays origami lesson is so cool! I have a huge thank you to one of our Kindergarten parents Chad McCann! He saw that I was posting a lot of origami on this blog and shared these amazing booklets and instructions with me.

This booklet has some great history of Origami as well as some awesome instructions to create your own Modular Origami.
